He has lectured internationally on the natural healing of
chronic illness, and has successfully treated patients from
across the US and Canada who were suffering from a wide

His book, The Emotion Code, is a distinct and authoritative
work that is destined to become an instant classic on
self-healing. It is rapidly becoming the most popular book
ever written on Energy Psychology.

In his book you will learn:-

-That your Heart-wall could be keeping you from allowing
abundance, love and joy into your life

-Find out if you have a Heart-wall (93% of us do) and
learn how you can remove it quickly

-That no matter how hard you try to "force" the things
you desire into your life, all of that effort will be
wasted if your Heart-wall is blocking the way

-How to sweep clear your path of abundance so that the
life you desire will come to you effortlessly!

and a quote from Dr Bradley Nelson - Author of The Emotion Code

The Emotion Code

In The Emotion Code, renowned holistic physician and lecturer Dr. Bradley Nelson skillfully lays bare the inner workings of the subconscious mind. He reveals how emotionally-charged events from your past can still be haunting you in the form of “trapped emotions”; emotional energies that literally inhabit your body.

Dr. Nelson explains clearly and concisely how trapped emotions can create pain, malfunction and eventual disease. In addition, trapped emotions can exert a dramatic effect on how you think, the choices that you make, and how successful you will be.

Perhaps the most important discovery that Dr. Nelson has made is that trapped emotional energies will often gather around the heart, creating a “Heart-Wall” that may block you from giving and receiving love freely.

The Emotion Code is a powerful and simple way to rid yourself of unseen baggage. Releasing trapped emotions often results in the sudden disappearance of physical problems, self-sabotage, and recurring relationship difficulties.

Filled with real-world examples from many years of clinical practice, The Emotion Code is a distinct and authoritative new work that is destined to become an instant classic on self-healing.

The Emotion Code has been created to give you new insight, to show you how trapped emotions can cause all kinds of problems, and give you the means to release them. You can take your life back, enjoy better health, and finally be free from the insidious and subtle forces that trapped emotions are exerting upon you.

It has been a goal of mine for many years to teach people how to balance their own bodies and improve their own health as far as it lies within their power to do so. The Emotion Code is helping to fulfil this dream of mine. It is my sincere hope that you will read it and learn the powerful yet simple healing methods that I teach, put them into practise, and improve your own health and the health of your loved ones.

I believe that each of us has a destiny to fulfil, and a mission to perform while we are sojourning on this earth. Illness can stop us in our tracks, and prevent us from living the life we could be living. It is a sacred calling to help those who are ill to recover, not only because of themselves. There is a ripple effect that occurs when someone is healed. Their life, lived fully, touches many others, and can spread out through time and space to eternity. Some of the greatest satisfactions in my life come from teaching people just like you, bringing out the healer in them, practising the healing art myself, and experiencing the joy that comes from helping others to be well.

God bless you on your journey to getting well and becoming the healer you are inside.

    All the Best!

Here is interview on how Dr Nelson Bradley got the idea, and tells us the method he employs in removing the effects of trapped Emotions.

Hope you enjoy

Flu and Trapped Emotions

Flu....or Influenza A (H1N1) is a subtype of influenza A virus. H1N1 strains have caused a minor percentage of all human flu infection in 2005-2005. Other strains of H1N1 are endemic in pig (otherwise known as Swine Influenza) and birds (avian influenza).

Now what is an effective prevention, or cure if you have this particular illness.Could this particular illness be caused by a Trapped Emotional problem. In other words could an incident in your past that deeply troubled you, which in turn caused emotional pattern which never got resolved and this in some way compromised your immune system.

Let me introduce you to Dr Bradley Nelson, he wrote a book called The Emotion Code and is a self-help method that is quite often produces positive results and has wonderful benefits, both physical and emotional in nature.

What is a Trapped Emotion ?

How would we cope in this world with our emotion's ? If the sum total of all our experiences makes up your tapestry of your life, it is the emotions that you have experience that give you the rich meaning to your life.

Our Emotions really do give colour to our lives, what would our lives be if we didn't have an instrument to measure the highs and lows of what we hear, feel, see, taste, smell - it wouldn't be a life as we know it - a bland experience, almost robotic, without depth or sense of being - no arguments, no love, no hopes, no fears. It would be senseless to exist.

Much of our suffering though is due to negative emotional energy that has become 'trapped' within us. The Emotion Code is a simple and powerful method of find and releasing these trapped energies.

A number of people have found that when they free themselves of these trapped emotions they are able to live healthier and happier lives. One single trapped emotion can create both a physical and emotional problem.

For instance if you cannot move beyond your angry moment, or a temporary bout with grief and depression, this negative emotional energy can remain with our body, potentially causing significant physical and emotional stress.

Most people are amazed to find out that their ''emotional baggage'' is more literal than they had imagined. Trapped emotions actually consist of well defined energies that have a shape and form. Although they are  not visible, they are very real.

This will be continued in a future blog post.

Applied Kinesiology continued

As previous to my article regarding Bruce Lipton and Rob Williams, I am expanding the subject matter so that everyone can understand a little of what is actually going on within the field of Kinesiology.

With Applied Kinesiology technique this provides feedback on the functional status of the human body, it is a system that evaluates structural chemical and mental aspects of health by using a method as manual muscle testing.

A manual muscle test in Applied Kinesiology is carried out by having the person resist using a particular muscle or muscle goups while the practioner applied some force. A smooth response is referred to as a strong muscle, and a response that was not appropriate is called a weak muscle.

Applied Kinesiology is not regarded by mainstream science as being a sound scientific tool as its been criticized on theoretical and empirical grounds. But Bruce Lipton a former Cellular Biologist has given his brief on how our minds and thought act out and clearly his version, when heard, appears to be on the forefront of the newly established science.

The most fantastic point in all this is from the quantum science aspect, which many people buy into, and that is that all matter is NOT - in other words we all belong to the non-material world. Material Structures moulded by some unseen force from trillions and trillions of atoms. Now as human beings, it’s believed that we are made up of 5 trillion atoms......now that’s a lot. So what is going on here? I would urge those of you who have any whim of curiosity to view Bruce Lipton’s and Rob Williams’s video.

In this world of ours, governed by a few megalomaniacs, we the people deserve to know the truth, we have lived in the dark for too long and faced hardships when those in control could have changed the fortunes for all, but chose to go down the path of destruction, and segregation. For as long as we bury our heads in this pop culture, do we all want to wake up to find we are part of the 1984 oppressed society. I clearly hope we don't go down this road of quiet desperation wishing we could have done something to alter the future for our children, our country, and indeed this world. Mother Earth has been ravaged by sheer greed, alternative energy which is free and cures for cancer been suppressed, so that those in control Gas and Pharmaceuticals companies can gorge themselves senseless on our feeble attempt at creating a decent life.

How many laws does it take for us to suddenly realise that our liberties have been taken, how many more countries have to take an invasion, how many people does is take for them to realise our finances are all awry.

Think honestly, just because we pay taxes doesn't make it right - we in this country (UK) pay 8.2 billion in aid to foreign countries, 13 billion to the European Union. Ask the question, when you have poverty in this country, and the government doesn't invest in jobs or careers - who should take the blame. Charity starts at home and that applies to all countries. We are all capable of managing our own affairs, we have to, so why do we entrust those in power to make decisions on our behalf. We are more moral, we are more capable. We are all exceptional human beings; we want what is best for our planet, our children, and our elderly. So whilst I’ve ranted on about what's unjust we need to take on more power for each and every one of us. Don't surrender your power to those who clearly don’t deserve it. Celebrate and be strong.

To get what we want just listen to what Rob Williams has to say. Your get the picture.

Be Happy

Happy as You Want to Be

Almost everyone have heard the hit single 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' by Bobby McFerrin. The song has a very catchy way of conveying its message of being happy to everyone. Bobby Mcferiin's simple message surely made a lot of people by telling them not to worry.

Living a happy, resilient and optimistic life is wonderful, and is also good for your health. Being happy actually protects you from the stresses of life. Stress is linked to top causes of death such as heart disease, cancer and stroke.

One of the better things ever said is - 'The only thing in life that will always remain the same is change', and in our life we have the power to make the necessary changes if we want to. Even if we find ourselves in an unbearable situation we can always find solace in the knowledge that it too would change.

Social networks or relationships are essential to happiness. People are different, accept people for who or what they are, avoid clashes, constant arguments, and let go of all kinds of resentments. If arguments seem unavoidable still try and make an effort to understand the situation and you might just get along with well with

Happiness is actually found in everyone, increasing it is a way to make a life more wonderful and also more healthy.

To be happy is relatively easy, just decide to be a happy person. Abraham Lincoln observed that most people for most of the time can choose how happy or stressed, how relaxed or troubled, how bright or dull their outlook to be. The choice is simple really, choose to be happy.

There are several ways by which you can do this.

Being grateful is a great attitude.  We have so much to be thankful for. Thank the taxi driver for bringing you home safely, thank the cook for a wonderful dinner and thank the guy who cleans your windows. Also thank the mailman for bringing you your mails, thank the policeman for making your place safe and thank God for being alive.

News is stressful. Get less of it. Some people just can't start their day without their daily dose of news. Try and think about it, 99% of the news we hear or read is bad news. Starting the day with bad news does not seem to be a sensible thing to do.

A religious connection is also recommended. Being part of a religious group with its singing, sacraments, chanting, prayers and meditations foster inner peace.

Manage your time. Time is invaluable and too important to waste. Time management can be viewed  as a list of rules that involves scheduling, setting goals, planning, creating lists of things to do and prioritizing. These are the core basics of time management that should be understood to develop an efficient personal time management skill. These basic skills can be fine tuned further to include the finer points of each skill that can give you that extra reserve to make the results you desire.

Laugh and laugh heartily everyday.  Heard a good joke? Tell your friends or family about it. As they also say -'Laughter is the best medicine'.

Express your feelings, affections, friendship and passion to people around you. They will most likely reciprocate your actions. Try not to keep pent up anger of frustrations, this is bad for your health. Instead find ways of expressing them in a way that will not cause more injury or hurt to anyone.

Working hard brings tremendous personal satisfaction. It gives a feeling of being competent in finishing our tasks. Accomplishments are necessary for all of us, they give us a sense of value. Work on things that you feel worthy of your time.

Learning is a joyful exercise. Try and learn something new everyday.  Learning also makes us expand and broaden our horizons. And could also give us more opportunities in the future.

Run, jog, walk and do other things that your body was made for. Feel alive.

Avoid exposure to negative elements like loud noises, toxins and hazardous places.

These are the few simple things you can do everyday to be happy.

And always remember the quote from Abraham Lincoln, he says that, "Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."

I include this very long  video which explores the aspect of why we create our own miseries and misfortunes, I beg you to watch this video as new information from a Professor of Cellular Biology Bruce Lipton has exposed the inner working of our cells and how we piece together our reality and how we sabotage our efforts through neglect of our sub-conscious drive.

Did you know that our conscious minds operates at about 2000 bits a second......

But did you know our sub-conscious minds operates at at 4 Billions bits per second.......

Who wins everytime.........a No-Brainer (a bad pun !!!)

Also there is a quick and easy way to eradicate bad programmes in our subconscious minds by Rob Williams - and install good ones.....Excellent video

Please Enjoy.

Stress Management In A Relationship

Handling Relationship Stress

Stress management is part and parcel of growing in a relationship. This is an inevitable part of any relationship such that you need to learn how to effectively overcome them and enjoy the companionship of your partner.

There are several causes of stress in a relationship, regardless of what type of relationship might that be. The difficulty of this undertaking is even more complicated knowing that an individual is engaged in different relationships at one time. Relationship could be with your family, siblings, parents, friends or acquaintances, officemates, and your partner.

Below are some stress management tips you need to learn about if you wanted to develop healthier relationships with these people in your life.

Analyze the Cause

The most important step in dealing with stress in a relationship is to analyze the cause. Some people might not even be aware of relationship stress since it is overshadowed by some other pressures in life. You must therefore accept and acknowledge the presence of stress before you can do something about it.

Do not put off solving problems that are causing stress in your relationship. This will only make the problem worse. Recognizing stress will enable you to identify a solution.

Talk With Your Partner

Another effective step towards stress management in a relationship is to talk it out with the person/s concerned. Constant communication will enable you to get rid of stress that you encounter on a day to day basis. In some cases, stress in a relationship is not directly rooted from it but only comes as an effect of some other sources of stress, such as in the workplace or school. Unless you talk it out, you will only make the person you're in that relationship with feel guilty or doubt themselves.

Attitude Changes

Once you trace the cause of stress and you have opened up about it to your partner, you can never make the necessary changes to your attitude or the way you deal with things that concern you both.

If you feel like a certain attitude of yours is the root of stress or problems within the relationship, then work on changing them. Only you can control your own behavior; hence, you need to take the initiative to do so. For example, if you tend to be a nagger towards your husband or boyfriend, then why not consider listening to what they have to say first instead of saying harsh responses to them. In the case of parent-children tension, why not consider changing how you approach your relationship? Parents can start by befriending their kids instead of scolding them often and inspiring rebellious behaviors.

Developing a Fresh Perspective in a Relationship

Dealing with a hectic schedule and lifestyle can take its toll on both your mind and body. So, you need to stop for a while and reconsider your priorities to have a change of perspective. When you are too busy, you often forget about some other important things in life, such as your relationship with your family or partner. They tend to become your last priority, when in fact they should be on top.

Remember all of the above considerations to facilitate an effective stress management approach in your relationships.

A home remedy to stop snoring - throat and tongue exercise!

Recent reports on health relate snoring to chronic daily headache. It is because people who snore are either deeply bothered by it or is bothering other people. When a person snores, he could experience getting up in the middle of the night because of his own noise. And since sleep is the only time when the body recharges for new energy, sleepless nights can cause a lousy next day. Unable to rest well can also result to chronic headaches.

Because snoring already affects the health, it must be given remedy before its effects worsen. There are simple and easy to follow exercises which can help reduce or eradicate snoring. In view of the fact that snoring is an involuntary motion of the muscles in the throat, conditioning of these muscles while still awake will control its movement when already asleep. This practice could be done in place of medications and other treatments.

The tongue and throat exercises must be practiced regularly for a period of time until snoring is totally wiped out in your system. The exercises that will be revealed should be repeated for up to five times, twice in every day.

The first step should be opening and closing the mouth. This must be done to the full extent like when you’re shouting to the utmost and closing the mouth with lips tightly meeting each other.

The next mouth position is crease your lips as if you are about to kiss or when pointing at something else without utterance. Hold on to this position for about ten counts and then relax.

And then extend your lips into that big, big smile. Exaggerate it to as much as your lips can reach. Hold on to that position for another ten counts. Again, relax.

Repeat the procedures 2 and 3. Pucker, hold, smile and hold. Do this for another set of ten counts.

With your mouth wide open, pucker without closing your jaws. Hold on to that position and relax after ten counts.

To counteract that, press your lips tightly together. For the same counts, hold.

Follow that step by making a slurping sound just like when you are sipping your juice. Firmly, stay on that position with your lips closed.

Then, stick out the tongue the way kids do. But hold it straight out to your mouth, restricting it from moving to sides. Hold and relax. While pointing straight ahead, try to reach a farther distance each try. Repeat this step several times.

Try to reach the corners of your mouth by sticking out your tongue. Hold it in each corner and relax. Repeat for several times.

Using the tip of your tongue, try to reach your chin to the farthest extension that you can get. Hold.

Stick out your tongue, in and out of your mouth repeatedly and as fast as possible.

Flick out your tongue to the corners of your mouth. Then repeat this with more speed.

Finally, move your tongue in a circling manner. Make sure that your tongue is in contact with the lips.

This throat and tongue exercises will stretch and contract the tissues and palate in the throat. Thus, you can be relieved from snoring. The exercise can last from ten to fifteen minutes. It’s good to try it at home and can be as effective as the chemical medications! A diligent practice can help you get rid of headaches.

Finding the Right Body Detox Product to make you Clean Inside

Are you 100 percent sure about it?

All of us are exposed to a host of chemicals and deadly toxins on a regular daily basis. Even though you may think that you are leading a healthy lifestyle, you are still subjected to many toxins that is found everywhere, even in your own homes. Toxins can be found in the water we drink, the food we eat and the air we breathe. We can not just totally eliminate those factors as those are the essential things we need to survive.

With the advent of medical science and the many discoveries in medicines, man has found ways to prolong life and eliminate painful symptoms that many diseases carry, but these same pharmaceutical drugs can leave traces of toxins in our body. Plus, sedatives and stimulants that we take do the same job as well, polluting our bodies. Also, man today has been consuming record amounts of processed foods and sugar that has never been recorded before. This just all add up to the toxins that lie in our body.

Why all the fuss about toxins?

All these toxins that are left uncared for can lead to indigestion, producing more toxins. As these toxins build up, they will eventually turn into parasites, small flesh eating monsters that could cause many diseases.

Although our liver and kidney may be helping out in detoxifying our body, our body is not capable of totally cleaning them out.

That’s why there is a need for outside help. Aside from the many diets and exercises plus the healthy lifestyle we may subject ourselves into to eliminate or at least decrease the amount of toxins in our body, we may resort to a body detox product to help eradicate all of those toxins.

Some of these body detox products come in the form of herbal medications which doesn’t leave any toxins behind, unlike the chemical drugs. These herbal body detox products may come in different forms, such as teas, mouthwashes, shampoos, capsules, softgels, chewables, liquid drinks an a host of others.

Each one of them targets an individual part of the body for detox. That is why it is imperative that before taking a body detox product, a consultation with a doctor should be done.

A lot of these body detox products could be found in the internet. While most of them would claim that they are truly effective and doesn’t have any side effects, a lot of scientists have also dispelled some of these body detox products.

Many people would go to great lengths to seduce you with their body detox products. It would be best to get a second, third or even a fourth opinion. A little bit of research would do a lot of good. You wouldn’t want to waste your money on just some useless drinks that only quenches your thirst and nothing more. You wouldn’t want to be buying something that might just add up to your toxin pile up.

So when you feel a little sluggish and you seem, to have lost a lot of pep, this could be because of a massive toxin build up in your body. Consult with a doctor immediately and see which body detox product would be right for you.

EXCLUSIVE FRIENDSHIPS

An excellent and gentle man of my acquaintance has said, "When fifty-one per cent of the voters believe in cooeperation as opposed to competition, the Ideal Commonwealth will cease to be a theory and become a fact."

That men should work together for the good of all is very beautiful, and I believe the day will come when these things will be, but the simple process of fifty-one per cent of the voters casting ballots for socialism will not bring it about.

The matter of voting is simply the expression of a sentiment, and after the ballots have been counted there still remains the work to be done. A man might vote right and act like a fool the rest of the year.

The socialist who is full of bitterness, fight, faction and jealousy is creating an opposition that will hold him and all others like him in check. And this opposition is well, for even a very imperfect society is forced to protect itself against dissolution and a condition which is worse. To take over the monopolies and operate them for the good of society is not enough, and not desirable either, so long as the idea of rivalry is rife.

As long as self is uppermost in the minds of men, they will fear and hate other men, and under socialism there would be precisely the same scramble for place and power that we see in politics now.

Society can never be reconstructed until its individual members are reconstructed. Man must be born again. When fifty-one per cent of the voters rule their own spirit and have put fifty-one per cent of their present envy, jealousy, bitterness, hate, fear and foolish pride out of their hearts, then socialism will be at hand, and not until then.

The subject is entirely too big to dispose of in a paragraph, so I am just going to content myself here with the mention of one thing, the danger to society of exclusive friendships between man and man, and woman and woman. No two persons of the same sex can complement each other, neither can they long uplift or benefit each other. Usually they deform the mental and spiritual estate. We should have many acquaintances or none. When two men begin to "tell each other everything," they are hiking for senility. There must be a bit of well-defined reserve. We are told that in matter solid steel for instance the molecules never touch. They never surrender their individuality. We are all molecules of Divinity, and our personality should not be abandoned. Be yourself, let no man be necessary to you. Your friend will think more of you if you keep him at a little distance. Friendship, like credit, is highest where it is not used.

I can understand how a strong man can have a great and abiding affection for a thousand other men, and call them all by name, but how he can regard any one of these men much higher than another and preserve his mental balance, I do not know.

Let a man come close enough and he'll clutch you like a drowning person, and down you both go. In a close and exclusive friendship men partake of others' weaknesses.

In shops and factories it happens constantly that men will have their chums. These men relate to each other their troubles they keep nothing back they sympathize with each other, they mutually condole.

They combine and stand by each other. Their friendship is exclusive and others see that it is. Jealousy creeps in, suspicion awakens, hate crouches around the corner, and these men combine in mutual dislike for certain things and persons. They foment each other, and their sympathy dilutes sanity by recognizing their troubles men make them real. Things get out of focus, and the sense of values is lost. By thinking some one is an enemy you evolve him into one.

Soon others are involved and we have a clique. A clique is a friendship gone to seed.

A clique develops into a faction, and a faction into a feud, and soon we have a mob, which is a blind, stupid, insane, crazy, ramping and roaring mass that has lost the rudder. In a mob there are no individuals all are of one mind, and independent thought is gone.

A feud is founded on nothing it is a mistake a fool idea fanned into flame by a fool friend! And it may become a mob.

Every man who has had anything to do with communal life has noticed that the clique is the disintegrating bacillus and the clique has its rise always in the exclusive friendship of two persons of the same sex, who tell each other all unkind things that are said of each other "so be on your guard." Beware of the exclusive friendship! Respect all men and try to find the good in all. To associate only with the sociable, the witty, the wise, the brilliant, is a blunder go among the plain, the stupid, the uneducated, and exercise your own wit and wisdom. You grow by giving have no favorites you hold your friend as much by keeping away from him as you do by following after him.

Revere him yes, but be natural and let space intervene. Be a Divine molecule.

Be yourself and give your friend a chance to be himself. Thus do you benefit him, and in benefiting him you benefit yourself.

The finest friendships are between those who can do without each other.

Of course there have been cases of exclusive friendship that are pointed out to us as grand examples of affection, but they are so rare and exceptional that they serve to emphasize the fact that it is exceedingly unwise for men of ordinary power and intellect to exclude their fellow men. A few men, perhaps, who are big enough to have a place in history, could play the part of David to another's Jonathan and yet retain the good will of all, but the most of us would engender bitterness and strife.

And this beautiful dream of socialism, where each shall work for the good of all, will never come about until fifty-one per cent of the adults shall abandon all exclusive friendships. Until that day arrives you will have cliques, denominations which are cliques grown big factions, feuds and occasional mobs.

Do not lean on any one, and let no one lean on you. The ideal society will be made up of ideal individuals. Be a man and be a friend to everybody.

When the Master admonished his disciples to love their enemies, he had in mind the truth that an exclusive love is a mistake. Love dies when it is monopolized. It grows by giving. Your enemy is one who misunderstands  you why should you not rise above the fog and see his error and respect him  for the good qualities you find in him?

Exercise And Sleeping Better

The amount of physical exercise that you exert during
the day is one of the key ingredients to helping you
get a good sleep at night.  The more active your
body is during the day, the more likely you are to
relax at night and fall asleep faster.

With regular exercise you'll notice that your quality
of sleep is improved and the transition between the
cycles and phases of sleep will become smoother and
more regular.  By keeping up your physical activity
during the day, you may find it easier to deal with
the stress and worries of your life.

Research and studies indicate that there is a direct
correlation between how much we exercise and how
we feel afterwards.

You should try and increase your physical activity
during the day.  The goal here is to give your body
enough stimulation during the day so that you aren't
full of energy at night.

Your body requires a certain amount of physical
activity in order to keep functioning in a healthy
manner.  It is also important to note that you should
not be exercising three or four hours before you go
to bed.

The ideal exercise time is in the late afternoon or
early evening.  You want to make sure you expend
your physical energy long before it is time for
your body to rest and ready itself for sleep.

You should attempt to exercise at least three or
four times a week for a period of 30 minutes or so.
You can include walking or something simple.  If
you prefer, you can include strenuous activities
such as running as well.

The goal here is to increase your heart rate and
strengthen the capacity of your lungs.  By adding
a regular exercise activity to your daily schedule
will help you to improve your overall health and
help you emotionally as well.

Along with running and walking there are several
other physical activities that you can add to your
daily life to increase your level of physical
activity.  If you are battling not sleeping, you'll
find aerobic exercise to be the best.

Your goal with exercise is to increase the amount
of oxygen that reaches your blood stream.  Overall,
there are many types of aerobic exercise for you
to choose from.  The activities include running,
biking, using a treadmill, dancing, and jumping
rope.

There are some non aerobic exercises that you may
find beneficial to help you solve your amnesia
problem.

Yoga
Yoga is an exercise that has a stimulatory effect
on your nervous system, especially the brain.  Yoga
utilizes breathing techniques and yoga postures to
increase the blood circulation to the brain, promoting
regular and restful sleeping patterns.  The regular
practice of yoga will help you to relax as well
as relieve tension and stress.

Tai Chi
Tai Chi is an ancient art of breathing and movement
that was developed by the Chinese monks.  The
movements involved are slow and precise, which is
ideal if you have joint pains or you are unable
to participate in high aerobic exercises.  Research
has shown that Tai Chi can help with insomnia by
promoting relaxation.

If you discover that you don't have any time to
exercise on a regular basis, you should try to
sneak moments of activity into your schedule.
Whenever possible, you should take the stairs instead
of the elevator, as little things like that will
do wonders for your body.

You should also park your car around the corner and
walk that extra block or two to get to your
destination.  As you may know, there are many small
things you can add to increase the activity in
your life.  Your overall goal here is to have a
healthy and well balanced life - with plenty of
sleep.

A Bug Free Mind continued

This revolutionary approach to Personal Development by Andy Shaw, shows all of us how some of our thoughts are destroying our efforts to ever succeed in life.

In his book 'A bug free mind' he offers a rare insight into how we can rid us of our viruses that continually overwrite any new healthy programs that we try to install in our lives.

To put this into context I will briefly describe a situation where you mind is like a computer with a very nasty virus which spirals out of control the older you get. When your born you have clear mind (tabula rasa - born without built-in mental content and that their knowledge comes from experience and perception) and as you get older you become more adept to life's challenges, well maybe up to the age of 7.

Few remember the times when you were trying to walk, but a part of you struggled to learn, but after a period of time you did learn, and learn you did. Did some part of you say I cant do this,or did you have that feeling that you could do it ?

Learning will always be part of what makes us human, but why is it after a certain amount of years we fail to understand or grasp opportunities or gain new skills that come our way.

Well look at this way - have you seen Granny struggling to come to grips with a remote control, or as in my case teaching my parents on how to do a simple knot (bowline actually) it took me 2 hours to explain it and they still got it wrong.

So what does this mean to all of us. Well, the simple answer is that we have acquired a lot of bad mental programmes when we travel through our lives, bad advice from our Family and friends, schools.....(in my case caning - a superb remedy for young children who had problems with learning, that is a bad virus to have installed in your brain plus it shows how people physically control children. Diabolical!! and trust me I had a few bouts with the cane. Those who are British and in their 50s know exactly what I mean.) institutions, colleagues, goverment, doctors and the list of those who have installed mind viruses is endless.

Now I have outlined some of the ways our minds can inflict problems by virtue of the fact that we dont know how to keep our minds clear of viruses. In his book 'A Bug Free Mind' Andy Shaw comes up with his first solution to this quest to clear the mind of negativity, which I shall briefly go through with you.

This is very simple to go through, all that is needed is to focus and bring about a memory that is emotionally rich and fully visible in your mind's eye - now you will take 15 seconds to fully immerse yourself in this daydream. When I started to do this, and Andy himself in his book and videos says he could only do it for about 4 seconds. Well, guess what you may have to persevere a bit, but I do recommend doing this exercise, but only bring about happy and joyous life events from your past. It will work wonders. The rest of the exercises are in Andy's book.

Its really of no surprise that all of the self-help industry fails with so many people, since you are trying to programme yourself with excellent programmes but are restrained with a few nasty viruses swilling around your brain - and if you have a computer you know exactly what its like to have a virus on your machine as it slows down and has the reactions of an arthritic striking slug.......!!

Anyway, please take a visit to Andy Shaw's Website, he has 9 excellent videos to watch, and I cannot recommend his books enough.

Power through the people

Have you come across a person who is so naturally friendly that when you put him inside a room of strangers, he'll be friends with almost everyone in no time? We call such a people-person, someone unbelievably nice and charismatic that he can charm anyone into doing anything.

A socially-empowered person achieves so much greatness, basically because of the people that catapult him to success. He earns the trust and all-out support of the people, whom he had helped before. He never runs out of help. He can do anything with the plethora of people behind him. All because he knows he maximizes his social potential!

See, if you know your social skills and you make use of them, you will reach self-empowerment. Self-empowerment is making a general overhaul in your life and turning yourself into a happier and more successful person. If you can be one of those people-persons, then I can't see any reason why you will not succeed. You just have to know how to start.

1. Be genuine. Hypocrisy will just bring you all the way down. Be genuinely nice and interested to people. Once they perceive that you are Mr. Hypocrite with selfish intentions, you might as well say goodbye to self-empowerment.

 2. Be the greatest listener that you can be. To earn the love and trust of the people, listen to their problems and sympathize with them. Do not just hear them out, listen to them with your heart. Make eye contact when the person talks to you. Listen as if every word matters, and it does. Brownie points when they find out that there is a confidante in you.

3. Laugh out loud. I do not mean that you force yourself to laugh for every joke cracked by someone, albeit you do not find it funny at all. This means finding humor in things and not being too darn serious. A person oozing with an awesome sense of humor attracts crowds and eventually, attracts success.

 4. Don't forget yourself. In the process of fluttering around like a social butterfly, you might forget yourself, allowing everyone to push you over. Remember, love and value yourself before anyone else. If you deem yourself respectable and worthy of affection, people will flock to you and not trample on you.

 5. Do random acts of kindness. You don't have to do a John Rockefeller and blow your savings to charity. Little acts of kindness matters the most, and this can be as simple as giving someone a surprise you-take-care card or helping an elderly cross the street. When we were kindergarten students, kindness was taught to us and greatly practiced. Now is the time to revive the good deeds and this time, let them stay for good.

6. Contact your old friends. Sad how some friendships are destined to goodbye, but thanks to technology, you can do something about it. Relive the good old days by flipping your yearbook and look for the great people whom you want to communicate with again. Adding these old friends to your roster of support peers will surely make you feel good all over.

 7. Develop your personality. Are you grouchy, grumpy and generally morose? Whoa, you can't go through life with those. Get rid of the bad traits and habits that perpetually hamper your growth. And really, who wants a grouchy friend anyway?

8. Be confident. Be able to stride to the other corner of the room and introduce yourself to people with that winning smile of yours. Just remember: be confident, not arrogant.

9. Practice control. When angry, don't snap at anyone. Never throw a tantrum. Stay calm and collected. Be adult enough to take control of situation and transform your anger into something more productive and passive. As soon as people think your anger goes to volcanic proportions easily, they will find it hard to come to you.

10. Keep nurturing your relationships. Your relationship with your family, friends and significant others is too precious that you must not neglect it whatever happens. Go out and have fun with them. Do things together. Happiness will never fly from your side as long as the people who matter the most are close to you. In the end, using people for self-empowerment means becoming a better and more lovable person. It's a win-win situation: the people know they can turn to you anytime and vice versa.

This book, although it is small, it is full of powerful information. It provides a guide toward self-perfection. When I say this, I am talking about the human mind and spirit. The body is a reflection of the mind and spirit, so even if one is interested in the physical, working on one's mind and spirit is actually the key to success.

A Bug Free Mind

Genuine Happiness Comes from Within

Life isn’t the sweetest candy. Sometimes, when I feel like the world is just too heavy, I look around and find people who continued to live fascinating and wonderful lives. And then thoughts come popping into my mind like bubbles from nowhere – “How did their life become so adorably sweet? How come they still can manage to laugh and play around despite a busy stressful life?”  Then I pause and observed for awhile… I figured out that maybe, they start to work on a place called ‘self’.

So, how does one become genuinely happy? Step 1 is to love yourself.

My theology professor once said that “loving means accepting.”  To love oneself means to accept that you are not a perfect being, but behind the imperfections must lie a great ounce of courage to be able to discover ways on how to improve your repertoire to recover from our mistakes.

Genuine happiness also pertains to contentment. When you are contented with the job you have, the way you look, with your family, your friends, the place you live in, your car, and all the things you now have – truly, you know the answer to the question “how to be genuinely happy.”

When we discover a small start somewhere from within, that small start will eventually lead to something else, and to something else. But if you keep questioning life lit it has never done you any good, you will never be able to find genuine happiness.

I believe that life is about finding out about right and wrong, trying and failing, wining and losing. These are things that happen as often as you inhale and exhale. Failure, in a person’s life has become as abundant and necessary as air. But this should not hinder us from becoming happy.

How to be genuinely happy in spite all these? I tell you… every time you exert effort to improve the quality of life and your being, whether it is cleaning up your room, helping a friend, taking care of your sick dog, fail on board exams and trying again, life gives you equivalent points for that.

Imagine life as a big score board like those which are used in the NFLs. Every time you take a step forward, you make scoring points. Wouldn’t it be nice to look at that board at the end of each game and think to yourself “Whew! I got a point today. I’m glad I gave it a shot.”, instead of looking at it all blank and murmur “Geez, I didn’t even hit a score today. I wish I had the guts to try out. We could have won!” and then walk away.

Genuine happiness isn’t about driving the hottest Formula 1 car, nor getting the employee of the year award, earning the highest 13th month pay, or beating the sales quota. Sometimes, the most sought after prizes in life doesn’t always go to the fastest, the strongest, the bravest or not even the best. So, how do you become genuinely happy?  Every one has his own definition of ‘happiness’. Happiness for a writer may mean launching as much best selling books as possible. Happiness for a basketball rookie may mean getting the rookie of the year award. Happiness for a beggar may mean a lot of money. Happiness for a business man may mean success. So, really now, how do we become genuinely happy? Simple. You don’t have to have the best things in this world. Its about doing and making the best out of every single thing. When you find yourself smiling at your own mistake and telling your self “Oh, I’ll do better next time”, you carry with you a flame of strong will power to persevere that may spread out like a brush fire. You possess a willingness to stand up again and try – that will make you a genuinely happy person.

When you learn to accept yourself and your own faults. You pass step 1 in the project “how to become genuinely happy”.For as long as you know how to accept others, you will also be accepted. For as long as you love and know how to love, you will receive love ten folds back.

Again, throw me that same question “how to become genuinely happy?”. I’ll refer you to a friend of mine who strongly quoted- “Most of us know that laughter is the best medicine to life’s aches and pain. But most of us don’t know that the best kind of laughter is laughter over self. Because then you don’t just become happy… you become free.”

I recommend an absolutely BRILLIANT book by a guy named Andy Shaw - I'm currently half way through - it is a book that does what it says on the tin. No frills, but pure and simple instructions on how to alter the way we think, and become successful in all our ventures, our hopes, and our dreams
